The school started with 35 pupils, 7 teaching staffs and 4 non-teaching staffs. The purpose of establishing the school is to inculcate the right attitude and value in a child in other to become an authentic leader. The name SOVOP is an acronym of the family names.

Sovop school is located in Ikorodu, around Gberigbe axis, with the Population of over a hundred pupils. The staff strength is 16 (full time and part time staffs). The school operates a Pre-school, Primary and Secondary section. The school’s unique colours are: sky blue, navy blue and cream.
